LCRD\u2019nin, NASA’n\u0131n g\u00f6r\u00fcnmez k\u0131z\u0131l\u00f6tesi lazerler \u00fczerinden, y\u00f6r\u00fcngeden D\u00fcnya’ya saniyede yakla\u015f\u0131k 1,2 gigabit h\u0131z\u0131nda veri g\u00f6nderip alan ilk u\u00e7tan uca lazer r\u00f6le sistemi olaca\u011f\u0131 ifade edildi. LCRD\u2019nin ayr\u0131ca geleneksel radyo frekans\u0131 kullanan sitemlerin 10 ila 100 kat daha h\u0131zl\u0131 veri iletece\u011fi ancak ucuz maliyet ve d\u00fc\u015f\u00fck g\u00fc\u00e7 ile \u00e7al\u0131\u015faca\u011f\u0131 belirtildi.<\/p>\n

NASA, 4 Aral\u0131k’taki f\u0131rlatma etkinli\u011fine kamuoyunu davet ederek nas\u0131l kat\u0131laca\u011f\u0131n\u0131 ise web sitesinden payla\u015ft\u0131.  <\/p>\n

M\u00fchendisler, uzayda konumland\u0131r\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131nda LCRD ile D\u00fcnya\u2019da bulunan optik yer istasyonlar\u0131 aras\u0131nda verileri \u0131\u015f\u0131nlayarak iletecek. NASA, \u00e7o\u011fu uzay g\u00f6revinde veri g\u00f6nderiminin radyo frekans\u0131yla yap\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 ancak zaman i\u00e7inde daha fazla veri topland\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 ve daha h\u0131zl\u0131 bir y\u00f6nteme ihtiya\u00e7 duyuldu\u011funu ifade etti.<\/p>\n
