Gence, kanser te\u015fhisiyle bir s\u00fcredir tedavi g\u00f6r\u00fcyordu. \u00dcnl\u00fc sanat\u00e7\u0131, \u00fc\u00e7 hafta \u00f6nce durumunun a\u011f\u0131rla\u015fmas\u0131 nedeniyle Hacettepe \u00dcniversitesi T\u0131p Fak\u00fcltesi Hastanesi\u2019nde yo\u011fun bak\u0131m servisine kald\u0131r\u0131lm\u0131\u015ft\u0131.<\/p>\n

 70\u2019li y\u0131llarda yapt\u0131\u011f\u0131 ba\u015far\u0131l\u0131 i\u015flerle ad\u0131n\u0131 duyuran Durul Gence, T\u00fcrkiye\u2019de ve yurtd\u0131\u015f\u0131nda \u00e7ok say\u0131da \u00fcnl\u00fc isimle birlikte \u00e7al\u0131\u015fm\u0131\u015ft\u0131.<\/p>\n

DURUL GENCE K\u0130MD\u0130R?<\/h2>\n

T\u00fcrk caz m\u00fczisyeni ve orkestra \u015fefi Durul Gence, 1954 y\u0131l\u0131nda girdi\u011fi Deniz Harp Okulu’nda davul \u00e7almaya ba\u015flayarak m\u00fczik hayat\u0131na at\u0131ld\u0131. Gence, 1970 y\u0131l\u0131nda yapt\u0131\u011f\u0131 \u015eeyh \u015eamil pla\u011f\u0131 ile \u00fcnlendi.<\/p>\n

Okul y\u0131llar\u0131nda kurdu\u011fu m\u00fczik toplulu\u011fu ve ard\u0131ndan \u00e7al\u0131\u015ft\u0131\u011f\u0131 “\u0130stanbul Express”, kurdu\u011fu “Asia Minor Mission” topluluklar\u0131yla, Ajda Pekkan, R\u00fc\u00e7han \u00c7amay, G\u00f6n\u00fcl Yazar, Alpay, Tanju Okan, Ertan Anapa gibi isimlere e\u015flik eden sanat\u00e7\u0131, yurt d\u0131\u015f\u0131nda da Herb Geller, Sonny Sharock, Bertice Reading, Four Pennies, Lili \u0130vanova, Mads Vinding, Peter Bastian, Anders Koppel, Herbie Mann gibi isimlerle \u00e7al\u0131\u015ft\u0131.<\/p>\n

Bir y\u0131l kadar Norve\u00e7’te kald\u0131. ODT\u00dc’de ve Hacettepe \u00dcniversitesi’nde “\u0130nsan, m\u00fczik ve caz” dersleri veren Gence’nin, DG-4 ad\u0131nda bir toplulu\u011fu bulunuyordu. Sanat\u00e7\u0131, Mart 2005’te 50. sanat y\u0131l\u0131n\u0131 kutlam\u0131\u015ft\u0131.<\/p>\n
